Mark Arnold is leaving BAY

Mark John Arnold has declared his intentions to resign from all positions he holds in Bank of Ayudhya, the country's fifth largest bank by assets.

He is currently a director, the bank's president and chief executive officer.
In a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the bank said that his resignation will take effect on January 1, 2013.
"In this connection, the bank is in the process of preparing a succession plan for Mark John Arnold and completing the legal process and will inform the SET accordingly," it said.
Arnold was appointed the president after GE Group emerged as the bank's major shareholder. The bank is in the course of a change in shareholding structure, as GE Group is unloading the remaining 25 per cent stake.
BAY share price opened lower today, down Bt1 or 3.28 per cent to Bt29.50.
