According to deputy government spokeswoman Sunisa Lertpakawat, upon Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong's order, the ToR is revised to embrace other kinds of fuel aside from natural gas, to mitigate negative impacts possibly incurring from NGV shortage.
BMTA is believed to complete the revision and resubmit theToR for the economic screening committee's approval on March 30. The ToR then will be ready for the Cabinet's consideration on April 9.
During the visit to Sweden, Kittiratt showed interest in buses which are driven by gasohol E85 and ED95 - a new fuel containing 95 per cent of ethanol and 5 per cent of additives. Aside from lower emission, the fuels can raise the domestic ethanol demand.
