This forms part of its efforts to boost sales to the targeted level of Bt4.5 billion this year, president Tan Passakornnatee said yesterday.
The overall campaign has already had a great response from consumers, he said, adding that Ichitan had reached top spot in the local ready-to-drink tea market after only 17 months of market entry.
Meanwhile, the company also plans to be a listed company in the Stock Exchange of Thailand by the end of this year, he said.
The company has reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission that it plans to issue 300 million new shares at a par value of Bt1 apiece, which will account for 23.1 per cent of its registered capital worth Bt1.3 billion after the issuance.
After issuing the new shares, the Passakornnatee family will reduce its holding in Ichitan from 51.5 per cent to 39.6 per cent.
The company recorded revenue of Bt1.6 billion and a net profit of Bt182.7 million for the first quarter of the year.
It claims to have 40.9 per cent of a market valued at about Bt11.5 billion.
