Oil Fund's levy on diesel cut

The Energy Policy Administrative Committee on Tuesday resolved to cut the Oil Fund levy on diesel by 30 satang per litre, but raise the gasoline levy by 30 satang.

 
 
  Compensation for gasohol E20 will be raised by 30 satang per litre.
Energy Minister Pongsak Ruktapongpisal said that the moves will lower the Oil Fund's daily income from Bt78 million to Bt56 million. However, the fund's financial position is still in the positive territory. As of August 4, the fund showed the positive cashflow of Bt6.25 billion. 
Under the decision, the levy on gasoline will be raised to Bt10 per litre, while that for diesel would be 90 satang. Compensation for gasohol E20 will be Bt1.30 per litre.
Dubai crude oil price today was US$105.44 per barrel.
