September export down 7%

Thailand's export value in September showed a 7.09 per cent decrease from the same period last year to US$19.3 billion, according to the Commerce Ministry's data.
Import value in the month also went down by 5.23 per cent on year to $18.83 billion. This resulted in $473.3 million in trade deficit.
The export value in the first nine months of the year rose only 0.05 per cent on year to $172.14 billion. Against imports of $189.8 billion, Thailand registered trade deficit of $17.67 billion.
