Meeting venue moved from Sydney to Bangkok

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will hold its 10th Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF) at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, during November 25 to 26.

It was earlier planned to take place in Sydney.
The Asia-Pacific Business Forum is the first and only regional multi-stakeholder business forum organized by ESCAP and acts as a platform for regional public-private sector dialogue on the role and needs of business in achieving inclusive and sustainable development in the region. This year's event focuses on: Connecting the Pacific with Asia. Government leaders, including heads of state, and top business executives from across the region are expected to participate in this year’s 10th anniversary event.
With engaging and action-oriented dialogues, ABPF participants will actively shape and influence the policy and business environment in the Asia-Pacific region by formulating their own strategies and policy recommendations which are in turn presented to the policy makers, including the Commission session, ESCAP's highest legislative body.

Specific sessions on:
•Building a Sustainable Pacific Private Sector
•Linking the Pacific with Asia: What does it Mean for Business
•Trade Facilitation, Transport and Finance for Inclusive Business Development
•Human Rights and Business: Principles for Sustainable Business Development
•Addressing the Private Sector’s Role in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
