BANGKOK NOW (BNOW), an organisation that promotes networking in the capital, has announced Thailand's first Entrepreneur Now Awards (ENA).

In an expanded follow-up to the awards programme BNOW supported last year, ENA welcomes Thai and non-Thai applicants and nominees as the Kingdom opens its doors to the Asean Economic Community (AEC). This year’s programme recognises entrepreneurs from more countries and industries operating in Thailand.
To create greater exposure for the awards, BNOW has broadened its partnership to include several foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand and other players who support entrepreneurs. Members of the working committee include the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce, the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM), the Irish Thai Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok University, Bangkok Entrepreneurs, Unesco, and the international Internet-based market-research firm YouGov.
The awards’ objective is to promote entrepreneurism, attract investors to Thailand and the Asean region, and revitalise the Thai economy and its small and medium-sized enterprises.
The awards programme has been divided into the following categories: Most Outstanding Male/Female Entrepreneur, Eco Entrepreneur, Creative Entrepreneur, Social Enterprise Entrepreneur, Student Plan, Exceptional Asean/Foreign-Owned, Exceptional Thai-Owned, Most Entrepreneurial Team, SME (30 to 100 employees), and Micro Enterprise (fewer than 30).
