SET roadshow in Singapore on July 9
The Stock Exchange of Thailand and DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand) will host a roadshow in Singapore on July 9, targeting to affirm the strenths of Thai listed companies and the economy.
Joining the trip will be Deputy transport minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith who will share the information on Thailand's infrastructure projects with foreign investors. It is the third roadshow this year. Earlier this month, one was hosted in Japan in cooperation with Nomura Securities.
SET President Kesara Manchusree said that the roadshows are part of the exchange's plan to extend the investor base. The roadshows, focusing on financial centres like Europe, the United States, and Asia, are to woo more institutional investors.
Thai shares owned by investors in Singapore account for 7 per cent of the market capitalisation. Joining this roadshow are 15 listed companies including The Erawan Group, Bangkok Aviation, Charoen Pokphand Foods, Sansiri, and Minor International.
The last roadshow for 2015 is scheduled for the US later this year.
