Egat official appointed Ratch's chief

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding (Ratch) has appointed Rum Herabat, a deputy governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat), as the new chief executive officer.

In the announcement, Rum, now a deputy governor for generation, would begin his new job on October 1, after Pongdith Potchana will retire on September 30.
Rum, 59, will be the fifth CEO of the country's largest private power generating company. It is 45 per cent owned by Egat.
