The ranking went up by two places from 2013.
Suphajee Suthumpun, chief executive officer, said: "The ranking reflects Thaicom’s strong progress and leadership potentials as a world-renowned Asian satellite operator.”
She was pleased that Thaicom could weather economic volatility. She said that sound financial management policies and risk management, as well as strong demand for satellite use, allowed the company to show consolidated revenue of Bt6 billion in the first half of this year. This represented a 3.5 per cent increase from the same period last year.
In another recent success, Thaicom’s telecommunications subsidiary in Laos was granted a 25-year extension of its concession, strengthening potential for international business growth.
