Duracell picks DKSH as its distributor in 4 Asian markets


DKSH, A provider of market expansion services focused on Asia, has been appointed by Duracell to market and distribute its batteries across four markets in Asia.

DKSH aims to drive growth of Duracell across retail and online channels in Thailand, Singapore, mainland China and Taiwan and with services including field marketing, sales, distribution, logistics, and credit and collection services.
DKSH, through the joint venture DKSH Smollan Field Marketing, will provide a range of shopper engagement and activation services in Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
Duracell Asia expects to expand its brand regionally by building on DKSH’s 150 years of expertise in Asia.
“In DKSH, we found a regional growth partner with deep local insights, strong category knowledge and proven commercial capabilities,” Stefan Sallandt, associate marketing director, said yesterday.
“We rely on DKSH’s capillary distribution network across modern trade, traditional trade, specialty outlets and into online channels.
“We have been impressed by DKSH’s track record leveraging its full range of commercial services to distribute and actively grow brands.”
Bo Nielsen, deputy head of DKSH’s consumer goods business unit, said DKSH saw opportunities to grow the Duracell brand by increasing its availability and visibility in the channels.
