Bangkok Bank opens branch in Pakse

Bangkok Bank today unveiled the second branch in Laos, 22 years after opening the first branch in Vientiane.
The second branch is located in Pakse in Champassak province. The province is expected to witness an inflow of investment being part of the Emerald Triangle, a joint economic development zone by Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
The foreign bank branch in Pakse would expand the bank's service coverage, said Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich.
Encouraging the expansion was Laos' fast growth pace in the past years, which attracted foreign investment into the country.
