Pruksa delists shares

Pruksa Real Estate Plc’s board has reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that it has approved the delisting of its shares on the SET.

The company delisted the shares so it could restructure its business plan.

It said the move would support its long-term business expansion.

Pruksa will establish a public limited holding company to accommodate the restructuring plan.

The holding company will tender an offer to buy Pruksa’s shares as Pruksa’s shareholders have the right to swap the shares at a ratio of one common share for one common share of Pruksa Holding Plc.

Pruksa will purpose the plan to shareholders on March 11.

Taiwan export blues

Taiwan is likely to report a drop in export orders for January, but the sector is expected to improve in the second quarter, according to the country’s Economics Ministry.

The ministry is set to release figures for export orders for the month on Wednesday, although it has already warned that Taiwan will probably see negative growth in export orders for the 10th consecutive month.

International demand remains weak, thanks to the stagnant global economy. Taiwan-based firms have seen actual exports drop for 12 months in a row, according to the Central News Agency. – The China Post
