Krating Daeng launches Bt400m promotion backed by ‘Weir’ Sukollawat Kanaros

Krating Daeng, an energy drink brand from The Red Bull Beverage Co. Ltd, has launched a marketing campaign, “Krating Daeng for Real Men”, with golden boy “Weir” Sukollawat Kanaros the model backing the promotion.

Backed by a budget of more than Bt400 million, the campaign targets the new generation. Krating Daeng teams will be dispatched across the country with social service activities and marketing initiatives to reach target consumers in its bid to stay active in the market throughout 2017.
Surachai Chonglertvarawong, Krating Daeng marketing director, The Red Bull Beverage Co. Ltd, said: “Throughout 2017, Krating Daeng is embarking on a marketing blitz with the Real Men campaign, meticulously choosing a spokesmodel who must be known to the Thai people.
“Furthermore, his personality must fit our brand positioning. We chose ‘Weir’ Sukollawat Kanaros as our spokesmodel, as part of our key strategy to attract new fans for Krating Daeng. 
“We believe that Krating Daeng’s flavour which we have developed systematically and infused with vitamins, goes hand in hand with Weir’s good image, thus reinforcing the positioning of Krating Daeng as the brand for those with a heart of gold, the real men who are synonymous with Krating Daeng; kind-hearted men who are always there for other people and society and who ask for nothing in return. 
“We believe this is what Krating Daeng stands for. It makes Krating Daeng relevant and remembered by consumers, in particular those who belong to the new generation. We will also increase our marketing activities with our Krating Daeng team at the forefront. They will visit several areas across Thailand to engage in field activities, serve customers and accelerate sales promotions to ensure that the brand strikes the right chord with target consumers in a bid to stimulate sales in the first five months of the year.
