SCB repositions top execs to cash in on their expertise

Siam Commercial Bank has announced job rotation for seven top executives to enhance customer service quality and competitiveness, citing their expertise in existing functions, ability to fulfil assignments, and thorough knowledge of customer needs.

Effective April 1, the shift aims to maximise synergies in service collaboration so that clients in every segment are better served, SCB said. The executives will be able to apply what they had done successfully in their previous positions to their new responsibilities, it added, saying new perspective will be brought to ensure services meet client needs, which will help boost customer usage of various financial products and services.
SCB president and chief executive officer Arthid Nanthawittaya said the job rotation is a major step forward under the SCB Transformation Project, a core strategy adopted to strengthen the organisation in the “New Normal” era, an era in which everyone must realise that success may no longer stem from conventional approaches.
The repositioning of these top executives provides further evidence of the bank’s ability to adapt, its flexibility, and the great attention it pays to its clients since the seven senior executives come from functions that played a key role in bringing impressive success to the bank, Arthid said. There will be ample opportunities for them to share their experience and expertise across functions to boost creativity, he added.
In addition, the job rotation of the top ranks will herald a new organisational culture to serve as a prototype and encouragement for all employees to develop their competence and undertake new challenges in the bank’s other business areas, Arthid said.
