Pongsak Lertrudeewattanawong, vice president of MG Sales (Thailand), stated: “MG sees the car market as gradually recuperating and improving, and in response to that we have many great quality vehicles to offer to consumers.
“The introduction of our MG GS 1.5 Turbo has been successful, while the MG3 is still a popular city car with No 1 unit sales. All MG vehicles aim to break new ground with state-of-the-art technology, superior performance, comprehensive equipment and assuring after-sales services.”
The MG GS 1.5 Turbo garnered the most request for test drives among all MG vehicles at the Bangkok International Motor Show.
"The good number of customer responses … reflect the great quality of MG vehicles,” Pongsak said. “We will not rest here, for we are working hard to maintain this momentum for sustainable growth by growing the dealership network to 90 by the end of this year.
“We also aim to step up the standards of pre- and after-sales services for an excellent MG brand experience.”
He revealed the company had first quarter sales of 2,653 units – a 65-per cent surge on the same period last year.
The breakdown by model is 1,620 MG3; 437 MG GS; 192 MG6; and 404 MG5.
