BOI proposes R&D talent database

The Board of Investment (BOI) wants to establish a “Strategic Talent Centre”, a repository of information on people skilled and experienced in science and innovation.
“The BOI will propose to its board, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, that the centre be considered as soon as possible,” Suwit Mesinsee of the Prime Minister’s Office said on Monday.
The government’s “Thailand 4.0” strategy requires human resources with the ability and experience to research and develop scientific and other innovative products to serve the market, Suwit said.
