The government yesterday staged an event to help Thai operators in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector – known as MICE – learn more about the needs of visitors from India.
The event, called TIME 2017, for Thailand Incentive and Meeting Exchange, was organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau under the theme “India in-depth”.
The bureau this year expects growth of 7 per in the number of Indian MICE visitors and a 10 per cent lift in revenue.
Nooch Homrossukhon, director of meeting and incentives, said that through the knowledge-exchange session, stakeholders in the meetings and incentives industry in Thailand were provided up-to-date information on the Indian MICE market.
A panel discussion on “Understanding Corporate Buying Power” offered them the opportunity to share ideas with leading Indian companies such as Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Zimmer Biomet, Goodyear India and Bajaj Finance.
