Economics board changes
The National Economics and Social Development Board (NESDB) will appoint members next month when the term of the existing members ends, according to the PM Office Minister Suvit Maesincee.
It will also appoint smaller boards to oversee each of the country’s six national development strategies: national security, human resource development, education, natural resources, economy, and the country’s management.
Suvit added that the NESDB would have to set up a “future lab” to study trends and respond to them. The NESDB secretary general Porametee Vimolsiri said board was assigned by the government to adjust its role to serve the country’s 20 year strategy, which aims to see Thailand become a highincome country by 2036.
