A cute way to encourage family savings

The Government Savings Bank has launched a special campaign to celebrate Mothers’ Day on August 12.
It is offering piggy banks to mothers and children who go together to open a new deposit or make a deposit in their existing account of at least Bt500 per account on August 11.
In the nationwide initiative, the mother and child will initially receive a coupon that can be traded for a piggy bank between September 11 and October 31.
A bank media release said that mothers who go to the bank alone can claim the coupon, but children must be accompanied by their mother to qualify for the gift.
