Adelfos Co has acquired half of the new shares of GMM Channel Trading Co, a subsidiary of GMM Grammy Plc, for Bt1 billion to strengthen all dimensions of the content business and cope with digital business growth.
“The deal is about capital-increase shares, not existing shares,” said Saithip Montrikul Na Ayudhaya, chief executive officer for the media business at GMM Grammy. “Adelfos foresees GMM Channel Trading Group’s capabilities and growth, given certain target groups, growing online popularity and confidence in the group’s management team, ” he said. 
Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, president and CEO of TCC Group’s Thai Beverage Plc, famous for Chang Beer, and Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, director of ThaiBev and executive director of TCC Group’s Berli Jucker Plc, hold major stakes in Adelfos.
