Material costs hit food company’s profit

Listed snack producer firm Taokaenoi Food & Marketing has accepted that its net profit margin will be lower than last year due to rising raw-material costs, the company's chief executive officer, Itthipat Peeradechapan, said on Monday.

In calendar 2016, the company’s total revenue was Bt4.72 billion with net profit of Bt781.85 million, a margin of 16.53 per cent.
In the first half of this year, the company recorded total revenue of Bt2.34 billion and net profit of Bt306.26 million, or a net profit margin of 13.05 per cent.
However, Itthipat said the company had shown sales growth of up to 10 per cent this year compared to last year, with a focus on both the domestic and overseas markets
