Banpu Infinergy targets 300MW of solar power generation

Banpu Infinergy Co Ltd, a subsidiary of listed company Banpu, has made its debut on the market as a one-stop provider of total solar-energy solutions using advanced technology.

In the first phase, Banpu Infinergy is offering solutions in the form of high-quality rooftop solar systems and solar street lights and accessories, director Somruedee Chaimongkol said on Monday.
In terms of the company’s five-year road map, Banpu Infinergy plans to achieve a power generating capacity of 300 megawatts from solar energy to serve future demand in accordance with the Energy Ministry’s Alternative Energy Development Plan (AEDP 2015), which targets an increase in overall renewable-energy consumption from 13.9 per cent to 30 per cent by 2036, she said.
The company is also committed to studying the possibilities for optimising EMS (energy management system) and ESS (energy storage system) in production control, energy transfer and energy storage, as well as electric vehicles, Somruedee added.
