Production gauge rises 3.7% for July

The Industrial Economics Office also reported yesterday that the MPI in the first seven months of this year was 0.62 per cent higher than the same period of last year.
Exports of industrial products, excluding gold bars, showed strong growth of 14.2 per cent from the same period of last year, while imports of industrial raw materials, excluding gold bars, increased 11.5 per cent.
The main products driving the MPI were autos and related products, rubber products, electronic parts, frozen chicken and processed seafood. 
Some industries showing falling sales were air-conditioners and parts, cement, furniture, and accessories.
