Airbus invests in Thai-built software for next planes
Software for the new Airbus model of airplanes will be developed in Thailand, according to the deputy secretary-general of the Board of Investment.
Some Bt8 million would be invested in initial software development that could lead to software to meet the needs of all future airbus models, said Agarin Pattanapanchai on Thursday.
The software would serve the needs of customers and airline operators, including managing flight routes and flight systems, said Agarin.
The investment originates with Airbus Flight Operation Services Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Airbus Invest SAS
The move is part of the Board of Investment’s support for the digital industry in line with the government’s Thailand 4.0 policy to drive high technology industry in the country.
