TrueMoney and SCB offer PromptPay service

TrueMoney and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) have expanded public access to Thailand’s national epayment system by jointly offering the “PromptPay Topup” feature 

In a statement they said that this feature would ensure that more members of the public can enjoy easy, convenient access to financial services via PromptPay, which has until now has only been available via a bank account.
In addition, SCB will serve the more than three million TrueMoney customers by letting them top up eWallet PromptPay through the bank’s three major channels: SCB Easy App, SCB Easy Net and ATMs, which are all available 24 hours a day.
Pimolpa Santichok, senior execuฌtive vice president and head of SCB’s Commercial Banking Solutions, said this collaboration would help make the cashless socieฌty a reality for people from all walks of life, especially those without bank accounts.
“Now PromptPay can be easily accessed not only via Thai banks but also using this new eWallet service,” Pimolpa said. “The new service will simplify the moneytransfer process involving eWallet IDs.”
Tanyapong Thamavaranukupt, president of Ascend Money said, “TrueMoney PromptPay is a major advancement for financial transacฌtion services.”
The service, allowing TrueMoney’s eWallet users to transfer, pay or receive money via PromptPay bank accounts, came into operation on Friday.
