Virgin Active says it is aiming to shake up the fitness industry and change people’s workout experiences with the launch of its sixth club in Bangkok. Billed as Virgin Active’s first multi-programme boutique studio in Thailand, the brand says it promises a memorable workout experience driven by group exercise programmes.
The new club is on Wireless Road and will be the international health and fitness chain operator’s first club in Thailand to present a new concept offering that it says will set a new standard for the industry.
Opening its doors on October 4, the club aims to create “an intimate and social space” where people can connect with each other.
Christian Mason, managing director for Southeast Asia, Virgin Active, said: “Our comprehensive group exercise programme has always been one of our key strengths here at Virgin Active, and we pride ourselves on delivering workouts that are both effective and engaging.
“In Thailand, as well as in Asia, the popularity of group exercise is an emergent trend for the business, with seven out of every 10 members having taken part in at least one group exercise class. This strong showing of interest, coupled with our experience gained from the success of our other clubs, gave us the confidence to launch a new club concept.”
