Singapore Airlines lets you ‘Grab’ a ride to the airport

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Grab have integrated their phone apps to enhance convenience for customers travelling to the airport in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

SIA customers can now book Grab rides using the SingaporeAir mobile app. Rides to the airport can be booked seven days before their departure date.
The airport will be automatically listed as the destination, so the user simply fills in the pick-up point and desired time.
Members of SIA’s KrisFlyer and Grab’s GrabRewards programmes will enjoy additional benefits under the new partnership.
GrabRewards members can convert their GrabRewards points into KrisFlyer miles.
Customers also get a chance to win a pair of Economy Class tickets to Maldives.
They must enter the code “GRABSQ” in the promo field in the Grab app booking screen for every Grab ride they take between November 6 and December 6.
The two customers with the most Grab rides booked during this period will each win a pair of air tickets.
“We are constantly seeking to enhance our SingaporeAir mobile app and KrisFlyer programme to ensure that we provide more benefits to our customers,” SIA senior vice president Campbell Wilson said.
GrabPay chief Jason Thompson said the two firms has “a shared commitment to innovation and delivering safe and high-quality travel experiences to passengers”.
“At the same time, we are constantly making the Grab platform more rewarding for our customers. With GrabRewards, a dollar spent on Grab is more valuable than a dollar spent in cash.”
Grab rides are now available in more than 100 cities in seven countries. Singapore Airlines flies to 60 destinations in more than 30 countries on five continents.
