Eight firms seek incentives to invest in robotic manufacturing, many others interested
Eight companies have applied for tax incentives from the Board of Investment (BoI) for a combined Bt12 billion-worth of investment for restructuring theirmanufacturing in order to use robots, Industry Minister Uttama Savanayana said after a meeting with 30 industrial firms on Monday.
All of the companies attending the meeting have manufacturing facilities at the Hemraj Industrial Estate in the Eastern Economic Corridor, he said.
The minister added that most of them were also interested in restructuring their manufacturing processes in order to use robots and automated machinery.
