PUBLIC DEBT HITS BT6.36 TRN AT END OF SEPTEMBER
Theeraj Athanavanich, a bond market Adviser, said Thailand’s public debt outstanding as of September 30, 2017 stood at Bt6.36 trillion or 42.29 per cent of GDP.
The total public debt outstanding comprised Bt4.95 trillion in government debt, Bt970.21 billion in debt of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Bt426.32 billion in Government Guaranteed Financial SOEs debt and Bt13.62 billion incurred by other government agencies.Compared with last month, public debt outstanding increased by Bt94.48 billion, he said.
Classified by remaining maturity, long-term debt outstanding was Bt5.61 trillion (88.11 per cent of total public debt) and short-term debt outstanding was Bt757.29 billion (11.89 per cent of total public debt).
