The company’s I-Project services operation, which focuses on lifestyle and consumer trends, posted 33 per cent growth.
It is engaged in exporting events under Own Event project and aims to develop a variety of projects in creative business, lifestyle and trade fairs in the domestic and international markets, the company said.
Founder and group CEO of Index Creative Village, which claims to be leader in integrated marketing in the Asean region, Kreingkrai Kanjanapokin, said: “Index created and hosted multiple events throughout the year 2017, which is not only our main line of business but our greatest strength.
“Our works have received widespread recognition in both domestic and international markets in three major business groups. These are: creative business development; marketing services and the I-Project group, which closed out last year with Bt1.75 billion in revenue, an 18 per cent increase from last year.
“As for 2018, Index will focus on business expansions under its Own Brand campaign emphasising showbiz, seasonal and festive events and business academics as well as other projects that focus on consumer lifestyle that are created and developed under the Index brand.
“Index will also focus on hosting a series of its own events abroad under the Own Event project focusing on lifestyle trade fairs and creative business projects with the goal to create a diversified market both domestic and abroad.
The first event of its kind will be held in March, with the first Kilorun, a new kind of running event that does not measure kilometers but kilograms.
“This will add a new twist to the trendy lifestyle, for people to eat and travel while on the go. This new experience will help attract travellers from all over the world to iconic tourist spots. Following the Kilorun will be a trade fair in Cambodia, the Cambodia Architect & Decor 2018 and in Myanmar with the Myanmar FoodBev, Myanmar Retail Sourcing Expo 2018, Myanmar Build & Decor 2018, and the Myanmar International Tourism Expo 2018. This will help create opportunities for foreign businesses and investors to penetrate the new market,” Kreingkrai said.
“To send off the old year with a bang, Index hosted its annual New Year’s countdown event in front of Central World. We have been hosting this event for seven years now and we have been recently ranked third in CNN’s 10 great places to spend New Year's Eve, a feat that truly reflects our leading position in the creative industry among the Asean region.
“Looking at all the positive factors, Thailand's business events in the year 2018 will have the tendency to be more active and lively as marketers are starting to spend more money on events, public relations and promotions on their brands. We believe that the industry will grow 5-10 per cent this year, which is valued more than Bt11.8 billion.”
