The prices of most products remain relatively steady ahead of the Chinese New Year, reflecting cautiousness among consumers, according to the Department of Internal Trade (DIT).
Boonyarit Kalayanamit, director-general of the DIT, said after a survey on prices of consumer products and gold that most products have not raised much in prices from the same period last year.
Prices of pork, chicken, egg, orange and banana used for the celebration are much lower than last year due to higher agricultural outputthis year, while manufacturing prices remain steady, she said.
