FUEL REMITTANCES CHANGE
The National Energy Policy Committee yesterday approved a reduction in the rate of remittances into the Energy Conservation Fund from Bt0.25 per litre to Bt0.10, Energy Minister Siri Jirapongphan said. The new rate will apply until 2019 and applies to petrol and diesel.
This move is aimed reducing the cost of living for consumers nationwide by Bt5.35 billion a year, Siri said. The fund is expected to receive an average of Bt10 billion a year.
