Allianz Ayudhya names top start-ups
Allianz Ayudhya has announced three winning teams from its inaugural Activator initiative, Thailand’s first InsurTech incubation programme and the first for Allianz in Asia-Pacific.
Doctor A to Z, Sharmble and Vitaboost Wellness were successful from a shortlist of 14 teams for their innovative approach to delivering insurance solutions to customers, ranging from a surgical treatment matching network to remote care services and a customised wellness programme.
The award-winning start-ups receive seeding investment of up to Bt2 million and an opportunity to scale their business through Allianz’s global network across more than 70 countries.
By working with Allianz Ayudhya, they will also gain unique access to industry insights, have their ideas incorporated into the Allianz business and have the opportunity to deliver solutions that satisfy customer needs in the real marketplace.
In addition, the three start-ups will gain exposure with senior management at Allianz Asia-Pacific in Singapore and will be hosted in Munich at the Allianz X digital investment unit.
In Germany, the teams will have the opportunity to present their solutions to Allianz executives representing its global network.
Doctor A to Z is a web platform that matches the users’ surgical treatment needs with trusted specialised hospitals and doctors at an affordable price.
Sharmble is a digital platform offering full-service care remotely for patients with chronic diseases. It offers free delivery of prescriptions and access to a doctor through telemedicine.
Vitaboost Wellness is a home-based wellness programme that customises nutrition packs for each customer based on blood test results and lifestyle questionnaires.
