RTB gears up for 30% sales boost

RTB Technology expects to achieve a 30 per cent boost in revenue to more than Bt400 million by the end of this year, aided by a Bt40 million budget for marketing.

Banphot Vatanasombut, managing director of RTB Technology, said that the firm this year has a strategy to provide audio gadgets, power supply units, cameras and IP cameras, along with protection accessories, to consumers through more than 300 dealers nationwide. Among these dealers is Studio7.
The company has launched two premium headphones and speaker sets for music lovers: the B&O Earset and B&O Beoplat P6.
The B&O Earset comprises earphones that comes with digital equalisers via a Beoplay app and they can be used for phone calls and music controls.
The B&O Beoplat is a wireless Bluetooth speaker for indoor and outdoor use.
“RTB plans to expand the music listener base to cover all growing segments and to satisfy demand at every level, by leveraging high-end audio brands from Denmark, such as B&O or Bang & Olufsen, to meet the potential high demand in the market,” Banphot said.
He said that the audio accessories market in Thailand this year will be valued at around Bt2 billion and the firm expects to capture a market share of around 25 per cent.
To aid this goal, it will release various audio gadgets such as earphones from Sony, B&O and Jabra to support the premium market, which has high potential growth to fit with the lifestyles of users in the digital era, he said.
“I think that premium and wireless earphones devices have high potential growth in the high-end market, since customers are increasingly wanting premium and brand name products to support their lifestyles, especially games lovers," Banphot said.
He said that as part of the company’s 2018 revenue goal of more than Bt400 million, revenue from online sales is expected to account for 10 per cent of the total. Last year, the company’s revenue was Bt340 million.
