Gym membership scheme opens in Thailand

Gym membership scheme opens in Thailand

ClassPass, membership to the world's fitness network, has arrived in Thailand. Gym junkie, dancer, muay thai or yoga enthusiasts can find classes at Bangkok’s fitness studios. ClassPass is offering all new members one month of free classes at over 150 locations across the city.

“We’re very pleased with the early traction we are seeing in Bangkok and are proud that the top studios have chosen to partner with us.
"Our large network of studios serves as a testament of their trust in our business model and vision of elevating fitness in the region,” said Claire Goodill, ClassPass general manager.
Membership pricing will be based on the successful global credits system, which allows classes to be priced depending on supply and demand.
“With this system, members are empowered with the flexibility to get the most out of their membership. They can visit their favourite studios an unlimited number of times each month by using more credits, or they can opt to take more classes every month by booking lower credit classes,” said Punn Chanrasmi, Thai country manager.
“The credits system also opens up access to ClassPass’ 12,000 partner studios all over the world. This enables the business to diversify into new verticals like wellness, offering services such as massages, acupuncture and facials, which can already be found on the app in some markets, and will be available in Thailand in the near future.”
