MODERN TRADE NEW INDEX MARKET OUTLOOK LAUNCHED
The Thai Chamber of Commerce has introduced its latest index, Modern Trade Sentiment Index ( MTSI) – a survey of modern trade to estimate the country’s market outlook, said Surong Bulakul, vice chairman of Thai Chamber of Commerce.
The survey involves major operators such as Central Group, Robinson, Makro, Big-C, Tops, Tesco-Lotus, CJ Express, CP All, and Tang Ngee Soon Super Store.
According to its finding, MTSI was at 50.0 in the third quarter of this year, with stronger market demand despite retail operators’ concern over the impact on the loacal economy from global uncertainities, he said.
