Thai packager SCG taps Aspen Mtell’s ‘early warning’ software

Thai packaging provider SCG has selected Aspen Mtell software to cut unplanned downtime. Aspen Mtell software mines operational and maintenance data to discover signs of failure that precede asset degradation and breakdowns, predict future failures and prescribe detailed actions to mitigate or solve problems.

SCG has chosen the software based on speed of deployment, accurate early detection of asset failures, avoidance of false alarms and ability to scale the solution system-wide.
“Aspen Mtell software can predict degradation much earlier compared to competing software systems,” SCG states. “With plans to deploy Aspen Mtell software company-wide, SCG becomes an early adopter of Industry 4.0 technologies by using predictive and prescriptive analytics for optimal maintenance.”
Added Filipe Soares-Pinto, AspenTech senior vice president of Sales and Operations in Asia Pacific:
“We are pleased that SCG has selected Aspen Mtell software in pursuit of strategic digital transformation and achievement of operational excellence via advanced machine learning software. By mitigating unplanned downtime, the consumer-packaged goods industry can achieve increased profitability and maximise uptime via asset performance management.”
