GPSC eyes boost in power production capacity
Global Power Synergy Plc (GPSC) aims to add another 1,500 megawatts to its current electricity production capacity of 5,026MW from 2020 to 2024, president and CEO Chawalit Tippawanich said on Thursday (June 4) after the annual shareholders’ meeting.
He said this plan had taken into account the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak as well as the company’s social responsibility.
In line with the increase, GPSC plans to boost the ratio of power production from renewable energy to 30 per cent of the total capacity from its current 11 per cent.
