24 foreign businesses, investing Bt871 million, get the go-ahead
Twenty-four foreign entities got the nod early this month under the Foreign Business Act to start operations, the director-general of the Department of Business Development, Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, said.
Their total investment would amount to Bt871 million and most are from Japan, South Korea and China.
Of the total, nine are in the service business, which are contractual parties with local state or private organisations. They are from South Korea, China, Japan, and France with total investment of Bt94 million.
Four entities are from Singapore and Japan, and will provide services to their groups with total investment of Bt369 million.
Four others are in the wholesale and resale businesses, from Japan, China, New Zealand and Singapore with total investment of Bt96 million.
Seven entities will provide services to general customers. They are from Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong, UK and India with total investment of Bt312 million.
