Honeywell offers cybersecurity solutions in Thailand
Honeywell has entered Thailand with cybersecurity solutions and it already has five customers in the country.
Safdar Akhtar, director of business cyber-security development for Asia-Pacific said the firm has been providing solutions to support the industrial market.
The process covers end-to-end cybersecurity solutions in six categories, including assessment and audits to support vulnerability and risk management, architecture and design in support of secure design and optimisation, network security to cover access control, endpoint protection to support industrial patching and anti-virus
situational awareness to take care of continuous monitoring, response and recovery.
The firm is also providing solutions to support critical sectors such as oil and gas and power plants.
“Thailand is intelligent in cybersecurity areas and the next-intelligent network. It has the Computer Emergency Response Team [CERT], which like the Computer Security Incident Response Team [CSIRT] provides an official point of contact for dealing with computer security incidents in the online community and monitors cyber threats to drive and move forward in support of the digital world and transformation,” he said.
The company has 10 cyber-security specialists to support the system in Southeast Asia and it has set up an Industrial Cyber Security lab in Kuala Lumpur to provide cyber-security solutions in the region.
