The iPhone 8 could be cheaper than originally predicted, claims new report

It will be the tenth anniversary of the iPhone this year and the new iPhone 8 is expected to pull out all the stops.

There are lots of rumours flying around that there will be three versions including a top of the range model retailing at nearly Bt50,000 but these have been dismissed as false.
There may still be three versions but it is unlikely that they will be anywhere near as expensive.
Steven Milunovich, an analyst from global financial services giant UBS, claims that Apple’s prices for the iPhone 8 are expected to stay around the same price as the iPhone 7 with the flagship device being about Bt40,000.
Writing in a report seen by Mac Rumours, Milunovich said:
“Contrary to some perceptions, Apple prices quite competitively,”
“Apple likes to position its entry-level products at the mid-market with ‘Pro/Plus’ products close to competitors at the high end.”
However, the joy was only short lived when it was explained that the higher storage tier will be around Bt50,000!
Although we actually know very little about the device we understand that it will have a similar infinity screen to the Samsung S8 and be faster to charge with a wireless charging pad.
Apple recently launched a cheaper iPad that comes with a 9.7″ display and 10-hours battery life with up to 128GB storage, which costs just under Bt20,000 for the basic model.
