Fashion house, Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet has just launched “Communi-T”, a capsule collection of t-shirts in partnership with Global Fund for Women.

The Communi-T t-shirts feature such empowering slogans as “never underestimate the power of a girl who knows what she wants” and “well-behaved women rarely make history.” As clothing with a call to action, for every t-shirt sold, the brand will donate 50 per cent of the net proceeds to the fund .

Bendet has long believed in bringing happiness to women however and whenever she can. The Global Fund for Women works with women who are changing the status quo every day. While steps towards equality have been taken, women and girls around the world are still denied the right to vote, to access education, to open bank accounts, and to apply for jobs – let alone be paid the same amount as a man for the same work. Global Fund for Women partners with groups who are creating jobs, encouraging entrepreneurship, fighting for workers’ rights, and supporting women running for leadership positions so that all women can enjoy full political and economic rights.

“Alice + Olivia is a company run by women and our clothes are designed by women for women. We believe that clothing is personal expression; what a woman puts on each morning is her daily art, her voice, something she shares with the world around her. We’(ve decided to create a capsule collection of t-shirts that allow us to share a little more and we hope you will share them too. Welcome the Communi-T, think of it as clothing with a call to action! At the end of the day part of making beautiful clothes is about bringing happiness to women however we can,” Bendet says,

“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to partner with Alice + Olivia on their inspiring Communi-T line. It’s important to have powerful women-led fashion brands taking a stand to empower women, and helping to mobilise more resources for women’s human rights,” adds Musimbi Kanyoro, President and CEO of Global Fund for Women.

The tees retail for $125 (Bt4,520) and will be sold exclusively and a+o retail stores and at

In Thailand the Communi-T collection is now available at Central Embassy and Zen Department Store.
