Dining out on a pinto

Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers’ Thara Thong restaurant invites diners to experience a pinto-style meal while enjoying Thai classical dance and music nightly from 6 to 10.30.

The pinto is available in three styles. “Aroi Mak” offers a selection of Central Region cuisine including sea scallop and galangal shoot in coconut milk soup, deep-fried crab and minced pork, spicy crisp chicken with aromatic Thai herbs, fish ball in green curry and steamed jasmine rice.
“Sab Lai” shines the spotlight on Northeastern delicacies with BBQ chicken and spicy and sour chilli sauce, Thai papaya salad, fried pork or chicken with herb meatballs, spicy and sour snapper soup with Thai herbs, and steamed sticky rice. 
Fresh vegetables and crab stick spring rolls with Thai herb dip, spicy mango and apple with shrimp salad, chicken broth with Thai herbs, stir-fried tofu with chilli and basil leaves, and steamed brown rice make up the “Healthy” pinto set.
Seasonal fruits and coconut jelly will be served for dessert and the offer runs through June 30. The sets are priced at Bt850-plus and Starwood Preferred Guests (SPG) members receive a 15-per-cent discount on food only.
