A taste of Indonesia

A taste of Indonesia

The cuisine of Indonesia will be celebrated at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s Brasserie Europa, from August 23 to 26 as two chefs from the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Budiyana Ramelan and Miati, aka the “queen of the cold kitchen” jet into town to mark the country’s Independence Day with a festival of food.

The authentic Indonesian dishes, which include Kakap Sambel Matah (panseared snapper with turmeric, sliced shallots, lemongrass and lime leafs); the famous Redang Daging (beef shanks stewed with chilli paste, Indonesian spices and coconut cream); Cumicumi Sauce Padang (braised squid with turmeric, chilli and coconut sauce) and Nasi Goreng Indonesia, Indonesia fried rice with shredded chicken, prawn and chilli paste), are being added to the lunch and dinner buffets.
Diners may also indulge in a variety of traditional Indonesian desserts such as Pisang Goereng (fried bananas Indonesian style) and Talam Ubi (sweet potato and coconut cake).
The lunch and dinner buffets feature fresh seafood on ice; Japanese station and an extensive selection of Asian and European favourites. They’re priced at Bt1,225plus for lunch buffet and Bt1,800plus for dinner.
Make a reservation at (02) 162 9000 or email [email protected].
