On the Table Tokyo Cafe is inviting diners to take a culinary journey around the Land of the Rising Sun with its “Taste of Japan” campaign that runs until October 31.

Food connoisseurs can experience six new dishes that bend conventional culinary rules by harmoniously infusing sophisticated Japanese tastes with flavours from around the globe.

Pork Chop Katsu XL (Bt380) is a traditional tonkatsu (breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet) stuffed with spinach, bacon, and melted cheese while Bacon Yaki Udon Gratin (Bt190) is a classic udon noodle dish topped with a fried egg, French bacon and grilled cheese.

Hokkaido cold capellini (Bt280), a take on ultra-thin Italian capellini, is served cold with a mix of Hokkaido delicacies including fresh salmon, crab meat and salmon ikura. Spaghetti Cream Mentaiko (Bt270) is served with On the Table’s special sauce and mentaiko (cod roe/pollack roe) and calamari fritti.

A must-try is 3 Musketeers Taco Sushi (Bt390) featuring three kinds of sushi -- Wasabi Tuna, Spicy Crab with Mayo, and Salmon Mayo on the same platter. And for dessert there’s the Harajuku Sweet Potato Crepe (Bt220) with slightly sour matcha ice cream paired with homemade crumble and sweet fresh strawberries.
