Tastes of traditional Thailand

Tastes of traditional Thailand

Amara Bangkok is offering a food promotion on the theme “Thai Passion at Element”, which serves up authentic and traditional Thai dishes at the hotel’s all-day-dining restaurant, Element.

Available both a la carte and in set menus, “Thai Passion” features such difficult-to-find dishes as cold watermelon served with dried fish flakes, fresh pineapple morsels topped with minced chicken and peanuts, crispy omelette with pork crackling, massamun curry with beef shank, red curry with roasted duck and prawn pad Thai wrapped with egg crepe.

The idea for the promotion came from Viranat Silananda, general manager of Amara Bangkok, who grew up in the States and enjoyed Thai food made by his mum. He brought the recipes to the culinary team led by executive sous chef Chalermphant “Charlie” Rojnwatham.

“All guests and diners will have a unique opportunity to experience delicious Thai food as part the efforts to promote Bangkok as a food hub in the region. Chef Charlie and his culinary team will ensure that all diners enjoy a sumptuous spread of the best traditional Thai cuisine.” said Viranat. “In order to ensure that all guests have a memorable dining experience, our culinary team uses fresh and quality local and imported ingredients to ensure that each dish served is authentic so that guests can enjoy the texture, presentation and taste the same way I enjoyed them as a child.

The promotion is available daily for dinner from 6.30 to 10.30pm both indoors and al fresco. Prices start at Bt150 per dish.

Element is also offering an international lunch buffet promotion “Come 2 Pay 1” daily from noon to 2.30pm. Priced at Bt899 net per person, it includes free-flow water, coffee and tea.
