Yamazato goes festive

To celebrate memorable family reunions, the award-wining Yamazato restaurant at the Okura Prestige Bangkok will be offering the enticing Japanese Gozen and Kaiseki Dinner sets from December 4 to 30.

Created by Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara, the festive Gozen lunch includes many dishes such as crab dumpling with a hint of yuzu soup, four kinds of sashimi, minced duck ball, daikon and garland chrysanthemum in soup.

Other delicacies to be enjoyed include assorted fruits served with chestnut pudding and sweet beans with egg yolk sauce, while the festive Kaiseki dinner features sea urchin dumpling with mushroom with a hint of yuzu, four kinds of sashimi, assorted tempura with snow crab, pond smelt, sweet potato, maitake mushroom and asparagus and assorted fruit served with chestnut.

The Festive Gozen lunch is priced at Bt1,300-plus per person and Bt4,500-plus per person for the Festive Kaiseki dinner.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Hagiwara will introduce such exclusive dishes as seared scallops, dried fig, shrimp with walnut vinegar, Kuzu-uchi big prawn, grilled ginko nut sesame tofu, oboro kelp and yuzu, Kobe wine beef stew with miso, daikon and carrot served with garlic bread and a decadent dish of apple and foie gras with white miso hollandaise sauce.
