Worawit named president of Constitutional Court
The Constitutional Court on Thursday (March 5) chose Judge Worawit Kangsasitiam as its new president, succeeding Nurak Marpraneet.
Worawit and fellow judges Twekiat Menakanist, Nakharin Mektrairat and Punya Udchachon met at the court office in North Bangkok to make the decision along with their new colleagues freshly endorsed by the Senate – Udom Sitthiwirattham, Wirun Saengthian, Jiraniti Hawanont and Nopphadol Thepphitak.
Worawit’s selection as new president, as well as the other judges’ appointments, must be approved by His Majesty the King.
Worawit Kangsasitiam, 68, previously served on the Supreme Administrative Court.
