Whatever happened to turning the other cheek?

What an impertinent and inappropriate hate article against Islam!
To begin with, don’t drag the US Embassy into this – they have nothing to do with this cartoon issue. 
Secondly, the real Islam teaching, to my understanding, does not preach any death threat. Is this because it is the same God that the Christians and Jews and Nigel Pike are worshipping? Perhaps Nigel can shed some light to this. 
Thirdly, the killings and violence listed by Nigel are terrorist attacks. But we also know there are violence and killings in Palestine too.
We should not lose our passion and compassion by filing unnecessary accusations. Isn’t this God’s word: “But I say unto you, that ye resist not evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
